New look web site and catalogue

Yesterday saw the launch of the new Library web site. We've tried to cut down the length of some of the pages so that it's easier to find the information you're looking for. The structure of the site remains largely unchanged, so those of you who were familiar with the old site shouldn't have to readjust too much.

There is also a new interface for the Library catalogue. Try the Advanced Search option if you wish to search for a particular book by Author and Title.

If you would like to send us feedback on either, or both, of these developments then please use the feedback form available via the web site.

Online reading list tutorial

I'm often contacted by students who have been unable to find items on their reading lists. Generally we do have the item - either in print in the Library or available online via our web site but people have had trouble tracking it down.

In response I've created a short online tutorial which outlines how to find the most popularly asked for items (books, journal articles, Acts & Cases).
To have a look at it, go to the Law Library skills section of the web site and select the relevant link. I've tried to keep the tutorial short, so it should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
