Law Commission reports and consultation papers

I was recently asked to find a 1981 Law Commission report on breach of confidence and thought that I'd share my research findings here.

The Law Commission website includes the text of publications from 1996 onwards, and here in the Library we have both Law Commission Reports and Consultation Papers from 2001 (within the Journals area on the 4th floor).

However, for earlier reports and consultation papers, BAILII is the place to go. Publications from the Commission's inception in 1965 to the present day are available from the site and can be searched by title or year.

Law Commission Reports - yes we have them!

Birkbeck Library has been subscribing to Law Commission Reports since 2001. However, because the reports are shelved with the journals (as you might expect, under L for Law) and do not have separate catalogue records many students do not realise that we have them.
So, the next time you are looking for a Law Commission Report remember that you have the option to consult it in print as well as via the Law Commission web site which contains links to reports from 1996 onwards.

We also have Law Commission consultation papers in stock (2001 onwards), and these can be found next to the Reports on the 4th floor of the Library.
