New EU e-Justice Portal

The EU have recently launched a new e-Justice Portal.
According to the press release which announced the launch the web site will benefit 'citizens, businesses, lawyers and judges with cross-border legal questions' and 'boost mutual understanding of different legal systems by contributing to the creation of a single area of justice'.

I've had a quick look at the section entitled 'Legal practitioners' and there looks to be some useful introductory information on the judicial systems of both the EU, and individual member states as well as links to case law.

With thanks to Maria Bell, LSE Liaison Librarian for Law, for alerting me to this resource.
