Hansard online from 1803 - 2005

The project to digitise Hansard (1803 – General Election 2005) began in 2005, and 3 years and nearly 3 million pages later most of the content has been added.

Currently volumes from the end of the C19th to 2005 are available and can be searched using keywords. Once all content is added, and the project completed (this should be in the next few months), more search options will be made available. For example, it will be possible to search by MP and see all speeches they've made in the House. It will also be possible to retrieve all mentions of a particular Bill or Act, and to limit searches by date.

Anyone who wishes to consult more recent volumes of Hansard should go to the Parliament web site.
